How we build
Most people's horror stories start the same way — nobody told them what was going to happen next. So here's the entire Ironwood process, start to finish, including exactly what we need from you and when.
We come out, look at the space, and listen. No sales pitch, no laptop presentation — just an honest conversation about what you want, what's realistic, and what it's likely to cost.
You get a line-by-line estimate — materials, labor, allowances, and a contingency we name out loud instead of burying. If something in it doesn't make sense, ask. We'd rather explain it now than argue about it in month three.
Plans get drawn, and you start choosing the things you'll actually touch every day — cabinets, counters, tile, fixtures. We keep a running selections sheet so you always know what's locked in and what's still open.
We pull the permits, order long-lead materials, and build the real schedule. You'll get a start date, a projected finish date, and the name and number of the one person you can call about anything.
Crews start at 7:30, clean up before they leave, and you get a photo update every Friday whether anything dramatic happened or not. If you live in the house during the work, we build dust walls and keep at least one bathroom running.
We walk the project together with a notepad and you point at anything that bugs you — a scuffed baseboard, a door that sticks, a switch in a dumb spot. Nothing gets called finished until that list is empty.
Every Ironwood project carries a 2-year workmanship warranty. We also come back at eleven months — before your first year is up — to catch settling cracks, sticking doors, and anything else a house does in its first winter.
Our commitments
You get a name and a cell number on day one. Not a call center, not "let me check with the office."
Nothing gets added to your bill without a signature from you first. Ever.
We hit our completion date 98% of the time — and if we're going to miss it, you hear it from us early, not on the last day.
Site swept daily, materials stacked, driveway clear. Your neighbors shouldn't be able to tell there's a job going on.
