Marcus

Marcus opened The Golden Razor in 2016 after eleven years in a shop across town that he says taught him everything except how to treat people. He cuts four days a week and still takes walk-ins when the book is light. If you want a skin fade with a hard part that survives a week of hats, this is your chair.

He's the one to see for a consultation on something you're nervous about — a big change, a first fade, thinning on top. He'll tell you honestly if it's a bad idea.

Dre

Beards & straight-razor shaves

Dre is the reason people drive across town for a shave here. He's genuinely old-school about it — hot towel, badger brush, proper lather, and a straight razor he strops between clients. A shave in his chair takes forty minutes and nobody has ever complained about that.

He's also the beard guy. Patchy growth, an unclear jawline, or a beard you've been "growing out" for eight months and quietly resent — bring it to Dre before you shave it off.

Theo

Classic cuts & scissor work

Theo trained in a shop where clippers were considered a shortcut, and it shows. Side parts, ivy leagues, businessmen's cuts, anything that needs to look correct in a boardroom and still hold shape at week five. He's also the most patient barber here, which is why he ends up with most of the kids.

If your hair has a cowlick, a crown that spins the wrong way, or waves that fight everything you do to them, Theo will actually cut around it rather than fight it.

Chair 4

Jax

Textured & curly styles

Jax works with texture instead of flattening it. Curls, coils, waves, and the grown-out mess that happens when somebody with curly hair gets cut by someone who only knows straight hair. He'll also actually teach you how to style it at home, which is half the battle.

Newest to the shop and the most booked out — he came over with a following. Worth the wait if texture is your situation.

Last cut goes in 45 minutes before close. If your barber is off, any of the others can take you — just say who normally cuts you and they'll match the shape.

If you're a licensed barber with a following and you're tired of splitting your take with someone who doesn't touch a clipper, come talk to Marcus. Flat weekly rent, you keep every dollar you make, and you set your own book.

Bring your license, your kit, and a portfolio. We'll do a working interview — you cut, we watch, everybody finds out fast whether it's a fit.
